My high school in Toronto had a huge music program. Over 600 of the 1300 students took music.
They used to do an exchange program with schools in the states where a bunch of their students would come up and stay with families here for a few days and do some concerts. Shortly after that a selection of our students would go down to do the same thing.
Things I remember:
We used to start drinking (underage) on the buses as they pulled away from our school. The teachers at the front didn't interfere if we at least tried to be a little discreet.
Their gymnasium was huge, as good or better than university ones up here.
Same for their football stadium.
Went swimming in my house family's pool and later on stage my nose started bleeding like crazy as a reaction to the pressure of swimming underwater. I used to get that but usually it wouldn't happen that long after.
Made out with this girl, Meghan Lxxxxy, pretty heavy on some bleacher type stands near the front of the school. We were penpals for a while. I wonder what happened to her.
