OK fine, or - how the democratic party should stop worrying and learn to love the open convention

I think there is a large segment of the population that hungers for a paradigm shift in the tone and substance of political discourse in this country. I include myself. I include many democratic voters and some meaningful number of republican leaning or undecided voters. I propose the DNC leverage their convention to do just that.
Barack Obama should host/emcee the convention. There hasn't been a brokered convention since 1952 and most of us are shit at civics so someone will be needed to walk the viewing public through it, and Obama has both the elite level credibility and communication skills needed to steer.
Candidates will be given 1-hour speaking slots, and they will be given two unique prompts and one common one. The unique prompts will be given 24-hours ahead of their scheduled speaking time and will be things like the economy, the border, russia, gaza, climate, etc. The common prompt will be known to all and will be "the existential threat posed by Donald Trump through the lens of the first two prompts".
The convention will kick off with an introduction, and a massive feting of, retiring President Joe Biden, the man who spearheaded the last effort to stop Trump and spent a steady and solid 4 years presiding over the rebuilding of the country and undoing the damage caused by the pandemic, including damage from Trump's inept handling of it. (As we all know the pandemic caused employment uncertainty for a large swath of americans as well as supply chain instability, and fixing that via monetary policy created a temporary spike in inflation that has taken time and careful handling to manage down without causing a recession. Biden did that, or at least he gets the credit for it.)
Biden comes out to accept the appreciation and gratitude from all and give his political farewell address. During this he also gives the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Jerome Powell, who as head of the fed oversaw the ongoing success over inflation and a repositioning of the american economy as perhaps the strongest in the world post-pandemic.
Obama then leads everyone through a week of substantive debate and ideation about the future of the country with an emphasis on rejecting Trump, turning the page on his vile policies and politics, and sustaining the momentum created during President Biden's term in office.
Biden will run with the winner of the convention as the VP candidate with the expectation that he will transition VP to the 2nd place finisher within the first 100 days.
The convention will set ratings records and produce many viral moments as we watch history in the making and break Trump's bread and circus stranglehold on US politics. He will finish with 43% of the popular vote and 244 electoral votes and the House will flip to Democratic control while the Senate will be retained for Democratic control.
Thank you for coming to my TED manifestation
