Can Kamala win? If so, best move is to get on board as VP or a major cabinet role and hang on until 2032. If not, best move is to avoid being attached to the losing ticket and position themselves as white knights for 2028.

I expect a lot of pro forma campaigning from them, but nothing that sticks their necks out. Like joining as her VP.
