VP, Kamala's coming pick for running mate. I'm guessing Cooper. A Harris-Cooper ticket to battle Trump-Vance. Here's why. -- (edited)

I have not gone very much in depth, only looked at superficial traits and qualifications. I find it easy to guesstimate Cooper regardless, as most of the others fall by method of elimination.
The three other likely ones, from what I've seen superficially so far: Walz, Beshear, Kelly
Initially I thought Beshear would be a very strong candidate, but there could be factors that exclude him that I have yet to notice. He's among the younger. His wife is from California. (Would be better if she was rust-belt, mid-West, Appalachian, Southern I guess.. )
Shapiro, many say. Well, I'm sure that is a very competent politician. It could be an excellent choice and the best choice, for all I know, but... Religious affiliations and ethnic identifiers matter in presidential races. He's doubling up on several identity markers that are already covered by Kamala and her beau. Lawyer. Former D.A. Jewish. (Kamala's beau ticks all those and she herself ticks two.) No women, none of colour, no one with a more progressive-liberal identity profile than herself, if she wants to win undecided, on the fence, would be Trump-voters.. There goes almost everyone.
The Veep should also have solid political credentials, especially since Kamala has never herself been a governor. Out goes Buttigieg, who is also very young and therefore has many more cycles "in him".
Cooper and Walz are "ripe". They have credible political clout and are nearing retirement age. She needs someone right now who can counter Vance firmly and be "all American", not coastal elites-adjacent.
If elected, she (via the DNC and various kingmakers - Pelosi is she's still around) can pic another running mate four small years from now, f.ex. Buttigieg or Beshear or anyone else emanating in this time frame. Kamala herself was mostly unknown to the world until her political career at the national level commmenced in 2017, so things can happen relatively fast.
At the moment, Cooper seems to tick the most boxes, although I should perhaps look closer at Walz as well(?)
