their board for the whole run. It's also why they give them multiple tries to do their best trick. If you eliminated everyone that fell you'd have a very boring competition as no one would try any difficult tricks.
Doing tricks on a skateboard is so much more difficult than anyone probably realizes. They make it look simple but I'm willing to bet that 95% of ST and the people you know couldn't do a simple ollie.
