MCU plans have changed several times over the past few years, but the underlying idea has been that multiversal heroes must come together to save Kang.

So, the premise here would be that a Doctor Doom from a different universe, possibly the one in Fantastic Four next year, which is confirmed to be a new dimension.

Extending that thought, RDJ could appear in Fantastic Four and thereby boost the box office while setting up the later appearance.

I presume he'd be the villain since Doctor Doom should be, but I can already easily envision two big moments.

One is a 10-year-old girl telling Doctor Doom that she loves him 3000. Another is that same girl using scraps from a cave to help him build a Doctor Doom suit.

The latter is me envisioning a scenario that's unlikely to pass, but the former feels like a foregone conclusion as soon as the Russo Brothers think of it.
