I go with the basic fare and am completely happy. I may pay extra for the steak house for just one meal - if they're not sold out, and I buy some

supplies for my stateroom: a wine and cheese plate, bottled water (and I could easily take a reusable bottle and drink tap water), and a six-pack of soda. None of that is necessary. I do pay for wine with dinner and a night cap at the bar but that costs a lot less than a drink package.

'All inclusive' cruises are priced accordingly. OTOH I just paid as much for 1 night in a hotel as roughly what it will cost per night for my cruise. - Meg Jul 28, 19:31 1
