In response to "I’m a little concerned about the life expectancy of skateboarders - do many of them make it past 16? -- nm" by Roger More

Not with out a limp and perennial soreness. I played every sport and nothing hurt me more than skateboarding. -- (edited)

I broke my right wrist twice, broke multiple fingers, have a permanently broken big toe on my left foot, scars a plenty and road rash on my left leg.
I regret nothing and had the absolute best time skating and learning new tricks. I just had no regard for my body at the time and no fear of injury.
