Doesn't this apply to all of the classic higher, farther, faster events?

As we approach the limits of what the thuman body can do, training at the Olympic level is all about the smallest of improvement gains and sometimes that still means you're 'just' in the pool with Katie Ledecky

I mean never say never but there's probably not going to be the equivalent of a Fosbury Flop type of revolution for any of the classic events.

I mean you genetic outliers that optimize for certain activities but inherently everybody is doing the essentially the same thing as that's what been calculated, soulessly get the best results


It's just so... mechanical and soulless. Impressive, sure. But still, mechanical and soulless. -- nm
