putting the ball on the ground for her teammate to take it start things up again but for some reason there was a whistle and the ball was turned over to the other team.
It looked like every other tackle and play I'd seen and of course there was no explanation from the announcers.

could be a few things. forward passes are illegal, and it counts if the ball carrier loses contact with the ball during a tackle and it goes forward. - mafic Jul 30, 08:15 1
