I saw that happen with the ball being dropped, bouncing forward and being picked up by the same player. But this was a bit different.

The offensive player was tackled and had put the ball on the ground. Her teammate was there to pick it up and then the whistle blew. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary but clearly there was something wrong as it was a turnover.
I'm fine with the rules. I just want the announcers to let us know what happened more often and not assume we know.
