For mine, my doc said surgery was optional not necessary but again, it's a partial flap-tear. I think that may be a common recommendation.

It's bad enough he seemed concerned. I have trouble standing up from a seated position and quite a bit of pain walking, especially the first few steps - sycor Jul 31, 13:43 2

  - Best guess is I think it happened about a month ago. He says the knee is swollen but I guess I just didn't notice. I will be icing more often now for - sycor Jul 31, 13:58
