The Jamaicans and Richardson left the facility then came back.
Upon their return, they were denied entrance.
She finally got in, rushed her training, and thereby suffered an injury.
The other Jamaican woman impacted by it didn’t get out of her prelim, and Richardson didn’t run as fast as usual, either.
Apparently, some bureaucrat decided that athletes who left the stadium had to use a different gate when they returned. This led to a run-in with security that upset everybody. The Jamaicans were furious, but they have downplayed how much it impacted the person in the prelim.
