I've been out of work for four months now, FBI job was yanked. I started over. I had two second interviews for great jobs, they told me they were going to send my resume to the client, and I might have to wait a couple of weeks. It's been two weeks. It's August people are on vacation.
Meanwhile, I applied for unemployment. They denied my claim. The reason they gave was that I supposedly said I was let go because of poor performance. I most definitely did NOT say that anywhere. I filed an appeal last week, and have heard nothing.
So, I'm keeping my family in the loop. I depleted my savings and can't pay next month's rent. There is a good chance one of those two jobs will turn into offers, but I have no idea when. Meanwhile, I am still applying to jobs.
Here is my question. My family members are pushing me to go to a local unemployment office to talk to someone about my claim denial. These are local offices, yes there is a large population where I live. They keep saying demand to talk to a person! It appears to be HOPELESS to talk to a person on the phone about my appeal. But I'm not optimistic that going to a local office and talking to a clerk will do a damn bit of good.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciate.
