There shouldn’t be any reticence in the Western world for more sports to be included that are more prominent in the 3rd world.
Also, and I’m sure this isn’t just peculiar to Ireland, but each Irish athlete receives the average industrial wage from the state to exclusively train at their sport. There should be a fund to enable that to occur for all athletes from all countries. And the Olympic organisers, the tv companies, and us in the 1st world should be contributing to that fund, lest we wish to dwell in a world of sporting moral turpitude.
