I'll play a bit of devil's advocate here. Kamala Harris needed to 'introduce' herself to the country as a candidate. Trump didn't, he's known. -- (edited)

I don't mean that Harris is unknown, of course. Rather, I mean Trump as a candidate is a known quantity (ran/won in 16, ran/lost in 20, has been running for like a year now for 24).
VP Harris, on the other hand, just became the de facto nominee a few weeks ago, if that. She has to build her message from the ground up, and quickly, so national ads during a massive sporting event make a ton of sense for her as part of a 'campaign kickoff'.
