The nice thing about the middle and distance races at the Olympics has been that they've been racing from the start.

None of this jogging easily (for them) and then just racing in the last lap.

I watched the W 800m yesterday and was in awe at the leader, who ran two quarter miles each under a minute and didn't even look winded. -- nm
