Glen Powell is good with a thin character. The lead girl is solid.
The action — nothing was memorable. Especially compared to Twister. Driving through a house, cow, jamming a truck under a bridge…things stood out…corny or not.
This, nothing. There’s no big chase/ action piece. Just a lot of driving into cgi that you can’t tell what the hell is what. Most of the kinetic action was weak. Sure, the vortex sucks a trolley car into it but 200lb Glen Powell is fine in the middle. Sure…
And the science radar plan made no sense in numbers. They say they need to triangulate the storm. Okay. Each radar needs to be 300meters away…okayyyyy…..
Storms in their own words move 17mph. Let’s assume the distance the storm needs trapped in is 500meters. At 17mph, that’s 50 seconds to set up and measure. They seem surprised the storm decimates one of the radars they set up in the path! 300meters isn’t that fucking far guys.
