Some notes on current rocket grunts in PoGo.

Fighting type has two good pokemon in machop and timbur, machop can also be shiny.
All 3 dragon type are good, bagon and dratini can be shiny.
Ground has drillbur and rhyhorn and fire has darumaka as worthwhile, ice has swinub.
Electric type has magnemite (which can be shiny) and electabuzz (in second position).
Both water grunts have good options, male has magikarp and female can have totodile. Totodile is also possible in confident male grunt "don't bother..., etc." Female water grunt also has shiny omanyte possibility.
Fairy type ("cute") has ralts/kirlia as good pokemon, mawile as a possible shiny and snubbull/granbull as pvp annoyance.
There are others good for pvp, but I don't know them all. The only other one I will point out is bellsprout. Shadow victreebell can be very strong in pvp and decent in other things. Bellsprout can also be shiny. I think it is only in Giovanni decoy grunts.
Poison has croagunk, flying has starly/Starkville and potentially shiny gligar in second spot. It also has cheap pokemon to purify.
Other potential shiny shadows are sableye (2nd spot?) from ghost (laughing), scyther and possibly anorith from bug, teddiursa and stantler from normal, possibly meowth (2nd spot?) as well. That seems to be it.
