I would totally combine this with window/door sensors and have an alert to close them when it starts raining

Might be better to get weather alerts ahead of time instead of when it's already raining. But I get where you are going and the price isn't bad.

Also I'm terrible with zigbee2mqtt. I just don't get it and haven't taken the time to understand it. If it does work with ZHA, I usually avoid it. -- nm

I had to laugh the other night. I have a static rule in our MyQ that closes our garage door if it is open at 8pm. We arrived home at like 7:59:50
