Also, I moved my HomeAssistant from a Raspberry Pi to an old Intel NUC hoping to get Matter support working only to find my Nest doesn't support

Matter like I thought it did. I could replace it with one of those new Nest 4th gen they just announced but meh. Guess I'll bit the bullet and pay google another $5 (one-time) for API access to the Nest. Would be nice to have that integrated as well
My next big project is "hacking" our solar gateway since the company went bankrupt. There's info out there to put a Raspberry Pi inside the box and pull all the info directly into HA for panel monitoring
