message board for the outside dorm room door, stuff needed to hang things - tape or hammer/nails - coffee ... lots and lots of coffee.

For my shower caddy, I had a bamboo fishing tackle thing that worked really great because it would dry completely and never got that "funk" from constantly being wet. having a dish for the soap to go inside kept it from getting messy too ... and for sure a sealed toothbrush holder is an absolute must with replacement brushes to change them out frequently.
