I like to imagine that everything happening in the presidential election is going exactly to some intricate Dark Brandon plan

Even when he was elected, there was some talk that Biden should be a one term transitional president. Of course, you don't actually declare that because you become a lame duck on day one, but Biden had a plan.
He knew that not running and allowing for an open primary would likely weaken the eventual nominee so he announce he was running. Once he got far enough into the primary process he started to play up his gaffes and old age.
All this time the Trump campaign is spending time, money, and effort defining Biden. Then, for the coup de grace he sets up the debate. Now, isn't it extremely odd to have a debate before the conventions? I mean technically neither one of them were their party's nominee yet.
So Biden bombs the debate so he can get the discussions going. He waits until the Republican convention concludes and withdraws and endorses Kamala.
With really no other choice except chaos, the Democrats quickly coalesce around her. Now she can begin her campaign fresh and define herself before Trump has a chance to define her as well as renewed. Trump is left spinning because his entire strategy was for running against Biden. Now Trump is the thing that they spent all that time pinning on Biden. He even left Kamala with a September debate on ABC.
The plan was only known by Biden, Harris, Schumer, and Pelosi
I like to think that Biden was sitting on that beach with a big grin on his face.
