We're starting our climb into the west-texas desert in two weeks. If forecasts are correct, we'll be hitting some 110 degree weather for a few days.

We are considering driving in the early morning, parking up in the shade somewhere, sleeping in a hotel because the AC can only get us 20 degrees lower than outside temp.

That 20 degree thing is the same for my apartment's AC too. And you can't exactly plug in a bunch of fans, so yeah, good plan.
