So I watched Terrifier and like 15 minutes of Terrifier 2 last night

It took me like 25 minutes to watch that 15 minutes of the sequel as I was trying to chase down dogs and a cat and get everybody settled for the night and that point, I was like it's too late and this is a decent stopping point. From what I saw of remaining running time, why is that movie well over two hours long? While is is a super trope, having a costumed villain and then setting the story at Halloween so the costumed character can just be out in a public makes for fun set pieces.

I rather liked the construction of the first one. I think my high school self would have loved this series. Currently I find myself burying my head in my eyes as I can't bear to watch some of the gorier sequences. Granted I had to look away at times during the Wrong Turn movies.

There's a what the heck was that dream sequence early on Terrifier 2 that was, well, WTH. I also rather like the family that seem to be our protagonists.
