it doesn't but there's been tens of Dragon successful missions and even reuse examples but resuse doesn't apply to missions with people on them
But no airlock, just open the craft to space. See Gemini missions before I was born. Heck this is one of the first achievements that the Russians beat us to during the space race.
There's the Apollo missions that had to cross the Van Allen Belt cause it's between the Earth and the moon.
There is the interesting quirk that 60's and 70's electronics were inherently more radiation resistant cause of bigger wires / traces / components but there's been decades of experience in making things radiation resistant using relatively modern chips and electronics.
If you were to say I go on this mission for free in a Starliner......like space is one of those once in a lifetime experiences to me but that would give me some serious pause.
If I could pay for a seat on a Dragon...then how much and do I actually have that money.
