My brother in AR had his identity stolen. This is a friendly reminder that you can freeze your credit for free.

You do have to contact all three bureaus separately. Fortunately, in the age of internets, this is easy; you can do it all online.
The freeze remains until you thaw it, which you will need to do to apply for a credit card or a loan.
