air travel sluts: Spirit is fucking me on a short connection flight from Vegas to LAX when i return from London on Norse Atlantic. how to unfuck?

for whatever reason that i can't pretend to fathom, although Norse flies directly from LAX to Gatwick, their return flight is to Vegas, and then you "have" to book a Spirit flight from Vegas to LAX for the last hour. whatever, it's just an hour i can handle it

except . . . 24 hours after i booked, Spirit sent me a shitass itinerary change that NOW my connection flight is supposed to go to San Jose first, and then to LAX, adding another 2+ hours to me getting home from London. fuck that. i can just book something else from Vegas as long as Norse gets me there in the same time

except . . . i don't know how my checked bag will work. i know i have to go through customs in Vegas before i can get the Spirit connection apparently. but is Norse going to also fuck me by putting the bag on that San Jose plane while i'm in customs?
