LYC - yesterday I got stung by a wasp on my hand. This happened because i was getting rid of a basil plant that attracts wasps like crazy, so no one

would get stung. That didn't work out.

Plant was on our balcony, it's gone to flower so the basil is bitter anyway, but the wasps LOVED it and made our balcony unusable.
So, first thing yesterday i decided to bring it in, cut the plant off, and then put the pot back outside.

but, there was a wasp on the pot itself, hidden by leaves, and i put my left hand right on it and got stung in that bit of webbing between your thumb and your forefinger.

i think this is my first ever wasp sting (bees as least one - i stepped on it, so, not blaming the bees.) IT HURT!

my hand is still swollen and yesterday my thumb and my forefinger were both stiff and sore. At least it was my left hand, and i'm right handed.

Takeaway: avoid being stung by wasps.
