We never bought anything from them.

When we were moving into the house during the pandemic, I ordered a mattress from them. A couple of days before delivery, they called me and told me they were canceling the order because they had a mattress shortage. They couldn't find the one we'd ordered that they could ship from anywhere, which amused me since they're American Freight.

Anyway, we got a refund and bought from a local place with the delightful name of Brown Squirrel furniture. Tonight, I got a $25 credit added to an American Freight account I'd never created. They just made one for me as part of the settlement.

The whole thing seemed like a scam, but it's real. I created an account with that email address and sure enough. I have a $25 credit as a class action settlement for a purchase I never made. Capitalism is wild.
