His stances on Trump didn't land at all and his overall approval rating is lower than even Trump's was (on average). I'm not sure why anyone would think him having an Arlington cemetery press conference would be the time that America started listening to him.

Plus, there's no proof or even insinuation that Trump was directly involved. The media is already eating this story up. Let them do the heavy lifting.

In addition, we've seen that harsh language and tough talk didn't work against Trump. But calling them and showing them as weird has.
