I want to make St. Louis style ribs at home this weekend. Does anyone have any advice for either cooking, spices or BBQ sauce?

I don't have a smoker so it'll just be in the oven.

i think first you have to decide on the type of sauce, cause thats important...

Also, making your own sauce is easy and tastes better -- nm

Thanks for the advice! I'm doing it in my oven as I don't have a grill. I was going to wrap it in foil and cook it slow but I'm still reading about

This is how I do it in the oven. foil wrapped, low and slow -- nm

That seems to be the best way when using an oven. I'm also seeing people throw it in the broiler at the end to get some nice char. -- nm*

Am test kitchen, boil 30 min, bake on a rack topped baking sheet, spread lapsing suchong tea under which will transfer some smokiness -- nm

How do you feel about a tangy sauce with a touch of spice to it? If you like that, I'd suggest Gates Original. nm
