Those are gonna be Republicans pretty much. The EC has been working out very well for them because of the quirks of certain state maps. -- (edited)

That's why we keep saying Democrats can't settle for single digit percentage advantages. They have to blow out the Republicans by double digits. Whereas the Republicans have been winning elections even though they keep losing the popular vote.
The non-partisan thinking could be that the the US is a republic rather than a pure democracy, which is supposed to give power to states rather than the rabble.
