I agree that everyone should post whatever they want. For me, a little commentary (the reason why people should care about your news) goes a long way. -- (edited)

That's a good rule of thumb for anyone who posts any kind of news (it's why I usually lead with the snark), but especially if you are posting something you think might make people feel crappy or confronted. Even an emoji, one word, the word "yep" or "I agree" or "I don't agree with this" means so much to people, I think. But just spreading the doom, just having that constant pipeline to the worst possible outcomes all the time without any indication of why, no comment, no snark, no nothing from your own brain? Well, you are leaving people to fill in the blank of your motive. So they reject you and people like Jovian feel persecuted.
People understand the doom and bad news abound. That's obvious. Just add some indication of why we should care about yours (not you, the general you :-)). And if the reason truly is what I suspect, that you just have your own anxieties to deal with, well that speaks for itself.
