Starr Ranch Sanctuary are mourning the loss of large swathes of costal sage brush, bulldozed down by the Fire Authority as firebreaks.

They spend so much time fighting invasive plants and bringing back native brush and now it's gone.
But the fire passed them to the north and they're okay so far.
