Does that translate to "On Friday I'll gladly approve the extension to Thursday that you should have asked for Wednesday?" or did they miss 9/19 too?

When I blow a 5pm deadline it's because I know recipients won't see until 9am, so I stay up as late as needed to deliver by then, not EOD day later.
Even Congress will work past midnight.
