For those who aren't FB friends with my wife, our cat's journey with us reached its conclusion today.

She was diagnosed with kidney disease at the beginning of the year, so we knew this was coming sooner than later. Meds helped her bounce back for about 6 months, but over the last few weeks she had declined. Early this afternoon she passed away while sitting in my lap.

Among our pets she was somewhat unique in the fact that she never favored one of us over the others. When my son lived with us, she would sit with him during the day and sleep with us. After my son moved, she spent the days with my daughter, the evenings with me, and would sleep next to my wife.

It has been an emotional whiplash between this and packing for vacation tomorrow (not to mention trying to work today).

I appreciate your support and kind words. And thanks for the pointers on b2. We have a Leeloo Dallas Multipass reservation for Tiana on Friday (weather permitting).
