Agreed on your IM. And it brings up something I've been wondering.

Would Red Sox fans rather Ortiz and Manny never used PEDs if it meant no titles? I would ask the same of other teams, but I think finally getting the win meant more to Boston fans than recent wins by other teams have meant to their fans.
Taking it farther, what if they could have won sooner if the entire team used PEDs? Would fans have wanted them to use them? What if it meant that Aaron Boone would have never meant anything to you?
