That's totally how one gets sidewalks to nowhere.

One property owner actually follows the requirements and / or cares about pedestrians and the next property owner is like fuck 'em if they can't own a car.

Sidewalks aren't like streets and part of city / county / state responsibility?

I assume that’s badly explained. Public sidewalk would be in road right of way which typically includes portion of your front yard. - VMan Oct 1, 12:39 6
