i know i've told this before, but a million years ago i worked on a show that filmed in Cabo. There was a hurricane coming

and one of the writers took his two sons who were visiting him down to the beach to look at the big waves.
A rogue wave hit and washed them all out to sea.
A local Mexican teen rescued one of the sons, but Link and his other son drowned.

i always think of this when i see people playing on beaches in those conditions.
