TIL that vinegar and water with a little baking soda really does clean the stainless steel frying pan.

3 parts water to 1 part vinegar in the horrifying caked on stir fry eggs/veggies/noodles pan, maybe 1/8th to 1/4 full. Heat to boiling, then turn off the stove.

Pour in a tablespoon or 2 of baking powder. It bubbles, but quickly stops, after a few more minutes, poured the liquid out in the sink, wiped the lifted food stuff off of the pan bottom, and *pow* clean and shiny.
