On a creative basis, the series reminds me of the Phantasm series as there's the same creator behind all of the movies. So while I can't always make sense of the overall lore, there is one and it's not random movies being titles under the franchise name. I mean actual budget series like Saw have taken not written for Saw screenplays and shoved them into the series.
Another similarity to the Phantasm series is that key parts of what I believe the series is going to be remembered for, were actually introduced in Terrifier 2.
It's kind of like Evil Dead 2 was the actual movie that Rami wanted to make but he needed the cult success of Evil Dead to make Evil Dead 2. IMO, Terrifier 2 has the same relationship with Terrifier.
