when i did poll work, i met a surprising number of people who were doing their research while in line.

and for PRESIDENT - i think last minute things do matter. it's weird to me that you could be on the fence about that, but i also know people who work long hours, have families, and politics is something that's not a hobby for them like it is for a some people (not a dig, but the level some of us follow it, it's beyond being informed, it's just something we like to do). October surprises and those ads seen on youtube or wherever can help form an opinion. i think of those, a lot won't vote, but if they were considering it, it may help sway them at the last minute
