Is there any scenario in which I might need to fire up my >10 year old desktop computer, or can I finally say goodbye to it?

Trying to decide if there's any reason at all to save all of the old system/windows files on the HDD I just pulled out of it, not that I'm in any crunch for storage space at the moment.
