JD - from B2. Obviously the gore is going to make it a no go for many but I actually think Terrifier is doing a nice job of world building.

The first one I think was meant to be stand alone. They were probably just happy to get the money to make it.
The second one I think had an eye to building a universe at conception and the third one capitalized on that. Just from a pure character and narrative standpoint I think they did a great job at creating an arc. The writing and acting is actually pretty darn good for a gore fest.
The actor who plays Art is great and really turns him into a classic movie slasher villain. It's odd to say, but there's something kind of innocent about him. His reactions are so good. The Santa scene in the bar is a great set piece for example.
Now that this is a legitimate franchise on a certain level I think there's a real opportunity for a Terrifier Cinematic Universe. Obviously there will be a continuation of the main series, but I could also see spinoffs like in The Conjuring.
I also want to watch All Hollow's Eve, which is the short film anthology film that intrduced Art the Clown. I don't expect it to be very good, but I've gotten into a completionist mindframe for the series in a very short amount of time.
