my partner made the (difficult) hike up to the TWA Flight 260 crash site just now. said she wasn't prepared for how sad it would make her.

it's only 3.5 miles, but the last 1.5 miles is a beast - some bouldering, 2100 feet of elevation to cover.

I had that reaction a couple years ago visiting the trade towers ground zero. It surprised me and I felt like I was prepared for it prior -- nm*

I was glad my daughter was with me. She was born in 2002 and doesn't really have a frame of reference but appreciates it probably more so now seeing
