Its basically "new" client wants to change a legal liability but our legal wont let us because we need permission from the "old" client first. Sometimes the old is nowhere to be found or has died and new is trying to say I will accept responsibility. BUT we need permission from the old we can not just accept the new to make the change.

Its frustrating us and new client who just wants to accept responsibility and to pay it.

I get some of the reasoning behind it it but it does not mean I have to like it.
