I understand some people don't enjoy her music.

I find her music unique. I don't argue that her current album showcases her vocal talent. It doesn't. It showcase her ability to songwrite and arrange though.
I think the fact that she has so much talent: vocal, songwriting, etc, is what helped her to make to the point that got a deal, an album, etc. (i.e. she didn't get there by being a hot blonde tart)
