What does Batman bring to the investigation beyond the professionals? He solves the cutesy riddles - except for the big one, about the rat with wings - but does that advance the case? And it's Alfred that cracks the cypher. Which also doesn't seem to advance the case very much.
Literally one step behind the killer the whole time and only stops the final attack through sheer brute strength (RAWR! I'LL PUNCH MY WAY TO VICTORY!)
