That depends on several very specific things, doesn't it? For me this is not standing up to Occam's Razor.

I found this paper that discusses the avalanche theory. To be more specific, this is a possible mechanism for a specific type of avalanche.

This, too, depends on several very specific conditions and actions. I hate both theories and also kind of like them too.
